The oil pressure switch is a key safety device for the transmission. It monitors the oil pressure in the system and sends a signal to the controller and the dashboard. If your machine won't move, fails to engage gears or direction, and the transmission pressure warning light is on, these are classic symptoms of a faulty switch. A damaged switch can either incorrectly signal low pressure, disabling the drive to protect the gearbox, or fail to warn of a real problem, leading to clutch seizure.

The switch is fully adapted to work with the original electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring a consistent repair.
The GX-AFTER brand is a proven and safe alternative that offers quality comparable to original parts at a much better price.
Before replacing the switch, check the fuse, relay, wires and plug. Sometimes the cause of the failure lies in the electrics, not the switch itself.
If possible, it is worth connecting a pressure gauge in place of the switch before replacement to ensure that the problem is not an actual lack of pressure in the gearbox (e.g. caused by a pump failure or a leak).
Contaminants in the oil are the main enemy of switches and solenoids. When replacing the switch, it is always a good idea to change the filter (we recommend the REDX brand) and the oil (we recommend the HYPTRON brand) in the gearbox.
Use a torque wrench to tighten the switch to the manufacturer's recommended specification. Overtightening can damage the thread or the switch itself.
Answer: Do not ignore this signal. It could be the beginning of a switch failure that is giving false readings. We recommend a diagnosis as soon as possible to avoid a sudden machine stoppage.
Question: The machine won't drive. Could the switch be the cause?Answer: Yes, this is a very common cause. If a faulty switch incorrectly signals a lack of oil pressure, the transmission controller may deliberately lock the drive to protect it from seizure.
Question: Do I need a new gasket for installation?Answer: This type of switch usually has an integrated conical seal on the thread. However, it is worth checking the condition of the seat in the gearbox and, if necessary, using a suitable thread sealant.
