A high-quality 2.4mm thick clutch friction plate, a key component of the clutch pack in Powershift transmissions. Its function is to transmit the engine's torque to the wheels through controlled friction. Made of special friction materials, it guarantees smooth gear engagement, resistance to high temperatures, and long, trouble-free operation of the gearbox.
Aftermarket quality product – an intelligent choice combining excellent quality with an attractive price.
| Brand (Machine Type) | Model |
|---|---|
| JCB (Backhoe Loaders) | 3CX, 4CX (with Powershift transmission) |

Transmission repair is a complex operation requiring specialist knowledge and tools. The gearbox is a heavy component, and its removal and installation create a risk of crushing. Always follow the manufacturer's service manual.
During a transmission overhaul, **always replace the complete set of friction plates, separator plates, seals, and bearings**. Use only high-quality HYPTRON transmission oil and change filters to proven REDX brand replacements to ensure the long and trouble-free operation of the entire system.
Clutch plates are the key friction components in a Powershift transmission. Their wear or damage leads to a "slipping" clutch, which manifests as a lack of power, jerking during gear changes, and can lead to overheating of the oil and damage to other gearbox components.
Burnt clutch plates mean an immobilized machine and a costly overhaul.
Operating with worn plates leads to the destruction of steel separator plates and overheating of the clutch baskets. Don't take the risk – order a proven set of GX-AFTER plates and restore your transmission to full efficiency and reliability.

This is one of the most common causes in Powershift transmissions. A "slipping" clutch causes a loss of power. Other causes include low oil pressure, a faulty solenoid valve, or a worn oil pump in the gearbox.
2. Can I replace just one burnt plate? This is not recommended. All friction and separator plates in a given pack wear at a similar rate. Replacing only one component will not restore full performance and may lead to uneven clutch engagement and another rapid failure.
3. Why is it necessary to soak the plates in oil before installation? The friction material on the plates is porous. Soaking them in oil for at least 12 hours allows it to become fully saturated. If dry plates are installed, the first clutch engagement will cause sudden "dry" friction, which can instantly burn or damage them.
