The steering axle bush is a key component of the steering system, located in the steering knuckle. Its function is to provide a smooth, low-friction pivot point and to bear enormous loads. If you feel excessive play and "clunking" in the front wheels, knocking sounds when turning, and the machine's steering is imprecise, these are classic symptoms of a worn bush. Ignoring the problem leads to wear of the bores in the knuckle and axle beam, which is one of the most expensive repairs on a machine.

The accuracy and quality of materials guarantee long and trouble-free use without the need for frequent replacement.
The bushing is fully adapted to work with original pins and seals, ensuring a consistent repair.
The CORESPEX brand is a proven and safe alternative that offers quality comparable to original parts at a much better price.
Knuckle bushes should always be replaced as a complete set on both wheels of one axle (upper and lower). This ensures proper geometry and even wear.
Installing new bushes on old, worn pins is pointless – the play will return immediately. Always replace bushes together with a new set of pins and seals.
Before installing new bushes, ensure that the bores in the steering knuckle are not oval. If necessary, they must be repaired (line-bored and fitted with oversized bushes).
After installation, generously grease the joint through the nipples. Use high-quality grease, such as HYPTRON, and replenish it regularly according to the service intervals.
Answer: The first and easiest symptom to notice is play in the wheel, felt when moving it from side to side when the machine is raised.
Question: Can I replace only one bush?Answer: This is highly not recommended. The bushes in a single knuckle (upper and lower) wear at a similar rate. Replacing only one will cause the old, worn bush to take more load, leading to rapid failure.
Question: What happens if I operate with a worn bush?Answer: Operating with a loose bush causes wear to the bores in the steering knuckle and axle beam. Repairing these elements is one of the most expensive repairs on a machine, many times exceeding the cost of replacing pins and bushes in time.
