The ESOS (Electrical Shut Off Solenoid) is a key component of the fuel system. Its job is to cut off the fuel supply to the injection pump when the ignition is turned off. If you cannot shut off the engine with the key and have to stall it in gear, or conversely, the engine cranks but will not start, these are classic symptoms of a faulty solenoid. A defective solenoid prevents safe and proper use of the machine, and in case of a no-start issue, it immobilizes it completely.

The accuracy and quality of materials guarantee long and trouble-free use without the need for frequent replacement.
The solenoid is fully adapted to work with the original injection pump and electrical system, ensuring a consistent repair.
The GX-AFTER brand is a proven and safe alternative that offers quality comparable to original parts at a much better price.
Before starting any work on the electrical system, always disconnect the negative (-) terminal from the battery for your own safety.
Before replacing the solenoid, check the fuse, relay, and the wiring and connector. Sometimes the cause of the failure lies in the electrics, not the solenoid itself.
Fuel contaminants are the number one enemy of shut-off solenoids. Always install a new solenoid along with a new fuel filter (we recommend the REDX brand) to ensure its long life.
Use a torque wrench to tighten the solenoid with the manufacturer's recommended force. Overtightening can damage the thread in the injection pump.
Answer: Yes, this is the most common symptom, meaning the solenoid is stuck in the open position and is not cutting off the fuel supply.
Question: The engine cranks but won't start. Could it be the solenoid?Answer: Yes, this is the second typical symptom. It means the solenoid is stuck in the closed position and is blocking fuel flow to the injection pump.
Question: How can I check if my solenoid is faulty?Answer: The easiest way is to listen. When you turn the key to the "on" position (without starting), you should hear a distinct "click" from the injection pump. The absence of this sound usually indicates a failure of the solenoid or its power supply.
