Genuine, high-performance **JCB Special Hammer Grease**, designed for lubricating tools and bushings in all hydraulic hammers. This is a crucial consumable, formulated to withstand the extreme pressures (EP) and temperatures (up to 1100°C) generated during impact operation. Its unique formula, enriched with solid additives (including graphite and copper), creates a durable protective film that prevents seizing, galling, and premature wear of the most expensive working components of the hammer.
Genuine JCB product – a guarantee of the highest quality, perfect fit, and 100% compatibility with your machine.
| Brand | Type / Series / Model |
|---|---|
| JCB | All machines equipped with a hydraulic hammer: Backhoe Loaders (1CX, 2CX, 3CX, 4CX), Mini Excavators, JS Excavators, Skid Steer Loaders (ROBOT) |
A universal product for all types and brands of hydraulic hammers.
Before greasing, lower the hammer and rest it firmly on the ground, applying slight pressure to push the tool into the housing. Turn off the engine and secure the machine. Use protective gloves to avoid skin contact with the grease.
Hammer grease is not just a lubricant but a protective barrier. Its absence or the use of improper grease leads to catastrophic failures that immobilize the hammer.
A seized hammer is one of the most expensive failures you can experience.
The cost of replacing a tool and bushings in a hydraulic hammer can run into thousands. The cost of one tube of genuine JCB grease is negligible in comparison. Using standard grease is a direct path to destroying the hammer, as it burns off after just a few impacts. Don't risk the most expensive repairs – invest in genuine JCB Special Hammer grease and ensure your attachment has maximum protection and lifespan.

Standard lithium grease has a dropping point of around 180-200°C. During hammer operation, the temperature at the point of contact between the tool and bushing can exceed 800°C. Regular grease will instantly melt and run off, leaving the surfaces unprotected. Hammer grease contains solid additives (graphite, copper) that remain in place even after the oil base has evaporated.
2. Is this grease suitable for automatic lubrication systems? No. This product is in a standard 400g cartridge designed for manual grease guns. Automatic lubrication systems on hammers require special cartridges that are screwed directly into the hammer body and have a different capacity and thread.
3. What are the risks of greasing a hammer too infrequently?Infrequent greasing leads to "dry" metal-on-metal operation. This causes a rapid temperature increase, leading to the tool seizing in the bushings, pitting, and micro-welding. In extreme cases, the tool can become permanently stuck in the hammer body, requiring a very expensive repair.
