A high-quality brake friction plate, a key component of the brake pack in the drive axle. It is the friction element that works together with the steel separator plates to generate braking force. Made of special, heat-resistant friction materials, it ensures effective and stable braking in all conditions.
Aftermarket quality product – an intelligent choice combining excellent quality with an attractive price.
| Brand (Machine Type) | Model |
|---|---|
| JCB (Backhoe Loaders) | 3CX, 4CX (older models) |
| JCB (Telehandlers) | Loadall (older models) |
| JCB (Forklifts) | RTFL (Rough Terrain) |
The list above is for reference. We recommend verifying the dimensions on your machine before purchasing.
Working on the brake system requires specialist knowledge and tools. Always use certified axle stands with an appropriate load capacity. Never rely solely on the machine's hydraulics or a jack. The brake system is critical for safety – if you are not experienced, entrust the repair to a qualified mechanic.
During a brake overhaul, always replace the full set of friction plates, separator plates, and seals on both sides of the axle. Fill the axle with new, dedicated wet brake oil like HYPTRON to ensure optimal cooling and lubrication of the entire system.
Brake plates are the key friction components in "wet" brake systems. Their wear or damage leads to a significant deterioration in braking performance, which is extremely dangerous. It can also lead to the destruction of other components in the drive axle.
Faulty brakes are a direct path to an accident.
The cost of replacing a set of discs and plates is negligible compared to the risk of an accident or the cost of an axle overhaul. Don't compromise on safety – order a proven GX-AFTER set and restore 100% braking efficiency to your machine.

"Wet" brakes (like those in a JCB 3CX/4CX) consist of a pack of friction discs and separator plates submerged in oil within the drive axle. They provide high braking force, are resistant to overheating, and are very durable. "Dry" brakes operate in the air (like in cars) and are more susceptible to wear and contamination.
2. Can I replace just one worn plate? This is not recommended. All discs and plates in a pack wear at a similar rate. Replacing only one component will not restore full braking performance and may lead to uneven braking.
3. What oil should be used for an axle with wet brakes? You must use a special gear/hydraulic oil with additives for wet brakes (UTTO type), such as HYPTRON. Using regular gear oil can cause the plates to "stick" and damage the brakes.
