Large-size 120488C2 friction disc from the GX-AFTER range, designed for wet brake systems in heavy CASE machinery. Made of advanced FP (Friction Paper) material, ensuring an optimal friction coefficient. The working surface features a WAFFLE groove structure, guaranteeing effective heat dissipation. The disc is characterized by a large outer diameter of 305 mm and mounting on 18 teeth.
GX-AFTER is the smart choice for your machine. We provide high-class replacements that combine excellent quality with an attractive price. Each part is carefully verified to ensure full compatibility and brake system reliability.
| Brand | Machine Type |
|---|---|
| CASE / CASE IH | Backhoe Loaders, Agricultural Tractors (check axle dimensions) |
| New Holland | Selected construction machinery models |
Due to the variety of axles, verification of dimensions (305mm x 108mm x 18 teeth) is necessary before purchase.
The friction disc works in a set with steel counterplates. When overhauling brakes, it is recommended to replace the entire set (friction + steel), piston seals, and fill the axle with fresh UTTO class oil.
Wearing the friction lining down to "zero" causes metal-on-metal friction, which generates filings that destroy bearings and seals in the axle. Driving with faulty brakes is prohibited and endangers the operator and surroundings.
Disc 120488C2 generates braking torque by rubbing against stationary steel plates in an oil bath.

FP (Friction Paper) is a modern composite material based on cellulose. It is standard in construction machinery, ensuring quiet operation and high efficiency in an oil bath.
Waffle-type grooving allows cooling oil to flow across the disc surface during braking, which prevents overheating and glazing.
The 580K model may use discs of different diameters or tooth counts depending on the year and axle type (Carraro vs Case). Measuring the old disc is necessary.
