A precision-manufactured engine piston, a key component in repair kits for naturally aspirated Perkins AA engines. This is the heart of the power unit, responsible for transferring energy from the combusted air-fuel mixture via the connecting rod to the crankshaft. Made from a high-grade aluminum alloy, it ensures optimal thermal expansion and durability. The piston crown (combustion bowl) shape is precisely matched for the specifics of naturally aspirated (NA) engines.
In the construction industry, machine reliability is the key to success. That's why we offer high-quality replacement parts for construction machinery that meet the highest standards of durability and performance. Our products are the ideal solution for companies and specialists looking for reliable components at attractive prices.

The list above is for reference. Fitment is dependent on the Perkins AA (100mm) engine model.
An engine overhaul is a complex process. Piston installation must be done in sterile conditions. Any contamination (dirt, metal shavings) entering the cylinder will immediately score the liner and destroy the engine. Always check piston ring end gaps and piston installation direction.
The piston hermetically seals the cylinder (with piston rings) and transfers the immense force of combustion to the connecting rod. It is one of the most stressed components in the engine. Its failure necessitates a major overhaul.

This piston is a nominal size (100 mm). Before purchasing, a mechanic must measure the cylinder bore with a bore gauge. If the cylinder is worn but within tolerance, it can be honed for this piston. If the wear is too great, the cylinder must be "bored" (re-bored) and an oversize piston (e.g., +0.50 mm) must be used.
2. What's the difference between a naturally aspirated (AA) and turbo (AB/AR) piston? They differ in key details. Turbo (AB, AR) engines typically have pistons with a deeper or differently shaped combustion bowl in the crown and often feature piston cooling channels (oil spray from below). This AA piston is for a naturally aspirated engine and cannot be used interchangeably with turbo versions.
3. What is compression height (69.9 mm)? This is one of the most critical dimensions of a piston. It defines the distance from the center axis of the piston pin hole to the crown (top surface) of the piston. Maintaining this dimension is crucial for achieving the correct compression ratio in the cylinder.
