The brake fluid reservoir is a key component of the braking system. Its function is to store a reserve of brake fluid, compensate for its loss, and allow for level checks. If your reservoir is cracked, cloudy, or so yellowed that you can't see the fluid level, or if fluid is leaking from it, these are classic signs of wear. A leaking reservoir can lead to air entering the system and a complete loss of braking power, creating an extremely dangerous situation on the road and at the worksite.

The accuracy and quality of materials guarantee long and trouble-free use without the need for frequent replacement.
The reservoir is fully adapted to work with original JCB master cylinders, ensuring a consistent repair.
A functional and sealed reservoir is the foundation of a reliable braking system and a guarantee of operator safety.
When replacing the reservoir, always flush the system and refill with new, clean brake fluid, such as HYPTRON. Old fluid loses its properties and contains water, which causes corrosion.
After installation, the brake system must be carefully bled, starting from the wheel furthest from the master cylinder. Leaving air in the system will result in a "spongy" brake pedal.
When replacing the reservoir, inspect the condition of the brake hoses. If they are perished, hard, or damaged, replace them with new ones.
Ensure the rubber grommets on the master cylinder inlets are in good condition. If necessary, replace them to ensure a 100% seal.
Answer: Yes, it could be the cause. A cracked or leaking reservoir leads to fluid loss and air entering the system, which results in a "spongy" pedal.
Question: Why has my old reservoir turned yellow and brittle?Answer: This is a natural aging process of the plastic due to exposure to high temperatures and UV rays. Such a reservoir can crack at any time and should be replaced preventively.
Question: Can I just glue a cracked reservoir?Answer: This is extremely not recommended. Adhesives are not resistant to the aggressive nature of brake fluid. Such a repair is not durable and risks a sudden loss of all fluid.
