A high-quality Main Relief Valve (MRV), which screws into the front loader hydraulic valve block. Its function is to protect the entire hydraulic system by setting the maximum working pressure. In case of overload, the valve opens and releases excess oil to the tank, protecting the hydraulic pump, rams, hoses, and the valve block from damage.
Aftermarket quality product – an intelligent choice combining excellent quality with an attractive price.
| Brand (Machine Type) | Model |
|---|---|
| JCB (Backhoe Loaders) | 3CX, 4CX |

| JCB (Telehandlers) | Loadall |
The list above is for reference. Before purchasing, we recommend checking the part number on the old component or in the parts catalogue for your machine.
Before replacing the valve, you must completely depressurize the hydraulic system by lowering all attachments to the ground and operating all levers with the engine off. High-pressure hydraulic oil can cause serious injury. Use safety glasses and gloves.
Replacing the valve is a perfect opportunity to check the condition of the hydraulic oil and filter. Contaminated oil is the most common cause of valve failure. Use high-quality HYPTRON hydraulic oil and change filters regularly to ensure the long and trouble-free operation of the entire system.
The MRV is the "fuse" of the entire hydraulic system. Its failure can manifest in two ways: if it is stuck open, the entire hydraulic system will be weak. If it is stuck closed, it fails to protect the system from overload, risking a burst hydraulic pump.
A faulty valve risks destroying the hydraulic pump.
The cost of replacing a valve is negligible compared to the overhaul of the entire hydraulic system. Protect your machine from a major failure – order a new GX-AFTER valve and restore full safety and efficiency to your hydraulic system.

This is one of the most common causes. If the MRV is stuck open or its spring is weak, it will dump pressure from the pump before it reaches its full value. Other causes include a worn hydraulic pump or leaks in the system.
2. Can I adjust the pressure on this valve myself? These valves are factory-set to a specific pressure and sealed. Attempting to adjust them without proper pressure gauges and knowledge is not recommended and is dangerous. Incorrect settings can lead to damage to the hydraulic system.
3. What is the difference between an MRV and an ARV?The Main Relief Valve (MRV) protects the entire hydraulic system by setting the maximum pressure for the pump. Anti-Relief Valves (ARVs) are installed on individual sections of the valve block and protect specific rams, often having different pressure settings than the main valve.
