An essential repair component for loader buckets – a high-quality weld-on cutting edge, designed for JCB 3CX backhoe loaders. Made entirely from the highest grade HB400 wear-resistant steel, it guarantees extreme durability against abrasion and cracking. The edge features 16 holes (8 pairs), pre-drilled for mounting 8 bolt-on teeth. This is a key component that restores the structural integrity and digging capability of the front bucket.
In the construction industry, machine reliability is the key to success. That's why we offer high-quality replacement parts for construction machinery that meet the highest standards of durability and performance. Our products are the ideal solution for companies and specialists looking for reliable components at attractive prices.

| JCB | Backhoe Loaders: 3CX (front loader bucket, standard and Super models) |
The list above is for reference. This cutting edge fits standard loader buckets on the 3CX model (approx. 2360 mm width).
Cutting edge installation requires welding. Welding work on structural attachments should only be performed by a certified welder, following proper procedures (pre-heating, correct welding consumables) to prevent cracks and ensure the full strength of the joint.
The weld-on cutting edge is the main structural base of the loader bucket. Its wear or cracking compromises the entire structure and makes efficient work impossible.

HB400 is a designation for wear-resistant steel with a hardness of about 400 on the Brinell scale. It is a material significantly harder and more resistant to abrasion than standard structural steel (like S355), which provides a much longer service life for the cutting edge.
2. Will this cutting edge fit a 4CX bucket? No. This cutting edge is 2360 mm (2.36 m) long, which corresponds to the standard loader bucket width for a JCB 3CX (and 3CX Super). The bucket on a 4CX model is wider (typically around 2450 mm, e.g., part no. 123/05119).
3. Why is pre-heating so important when welding HB400?HB400 steel has a high carbon content, which makes it hard but also brittle during welding. Rapid heating and cooling (which happens in normal welding) creates hard, brittle structures in the weld zone that will crack almost immediately under load. Pre-heating slows the entire process and prevents these cracks.
