A reliable center tooth for mini excavator buckets, compatible with tooth systems on Kubota, CAT, and many other machines. It is the main working component of the bucket, responsible for penetrating and breaking up hard ground. Made by precision casting from high-spec alloy steel and hardened to 48-52 HRC, it guarantees excellent resistance to abrasion and breakage, ensuring a long service life in tough conditions.
The tooth is designed for cutting edges with a thickness of 16 mm. Mounting on a cutting edge thinner than 15 mm without using appropriate shims may lead to tooth fracture!
| Brand | Type / Series / Model |
|---|---|
| Kubota | Various mini excavator models |
| Caterpillar | Various mini excavator models |
| Other brands | Many other mini excavators and skid steer loaders |
The list above is for reference. Before purchasing, verify the cutting edge thickness (16mm) and bolt spacing (55mm).
The center tooth is the primary ground-engaging element. Its wear leads to a decrease in digging efficiency, increased resistance, and consequently to higher fuel consumption and excessive load on the machine's hydraulics.
Blunt teeth mean wasted fuel and time.
Working with worn teeth is like "petting" the ground, not digging. It increases the load on the hydraulics and fuel consumption. Don't burn money – order a new, reinforced GX-AFTER tooth and restore your machine's full digging power.

HRC is the Rockwell C scale of hardness. A value of 48-52 HRC means the tooth is made of very hard, yet impact-resistant steel. This hardness provides excellent resistance to abrasion, but the material is not so brittle that it will crack on the first impact with a hard obstacle.
2. What is the difference between a center and a side tooth?A center tooth is symmetrical and is responsible for the main digging force and ground penetration. A side cutter has an asymmetrical shape, its job is to protect the side edge of the bucket from wear and to "cut" a clean trench wall.
3. Can I re-sharpen a worn tooth? It is not recommended. Bucket teeth are hardened to a specific depth. Grinding removes the hardest, outer layer, and the heat generated can "temper" the material, making it soft. Such a tooth will wear out extremely quickly.
