The list above is for reference. It is crucial to verify the cab type (P12) and strut length (330 mm).
Gas struts are under high pressure. Do not cut, puncture, or heat. When replacing, ensure the door is securely supported to prevent it from falling when the old strut is removed.
The door gas strut ensures operator comfort and safety. A failure is easy to diagnose and significantly hinders the daily use of the machine.

The P12 is the older cab style, fitted to JCB 3CX/4CX machines built until approximately 2001. The P21 is the newer model cab introduced after 2001. They have different styling, features, and different hardware, including door struts of different lengths.
2. Will this strut fit the rear top window? No. This model (331/66778) is specifically for the side door of the P12 cab. The rear window struts have completely different part numbers, lengths, and force (N) ratings.
3. My old strut is 335mm long. Will this 330mm fit? This model has an extended length of 330 mm. A 5 mm difference may or may not be an issue, depending on the hinge geometry. We strongly recommend verifying the part number on your old strut to ensure 100% compatibility.
