A high-quality 4.5mm thick shim (thrust washer), made of a durable, low-friction polymer. It is a key component of the front axle pivot ("cradle"). Its function is to precisely take up axial play, ensuring axle stability and protecting metal components from wear. It is essential for the proper functioning of the suspension, especially when driving on rough terrain.
Aftermarket quality product – an intelligent choice combining excellent quality with an attractive price.
Need a different thickness or a full kit for your rebuild?
We also stock shims in other thicknesses to compensate for greater wear:
• 819/00132 – Thickness: 3.5mm
• 819/00133 – Thickness: 4mm
• 819/00135 – Thickness: 5mm
• 819/00136 – Thickness: 5.5mm
• 819/00137 – Thickness: 6mm

The list above is for reference. We recommend verifying the dimensions on your machine before purchasing.
Replacing axle pivot components requires the front of the machine to be lifted and secured. Always use certified axle stands with an appropriate load capacity. Never rely solely on the machine's hydraulics or a jack. Use safety glasses and gloves.
For a complete joint refurbishment, always replace all shims and bushings at the same time. To ensure perfect sliding and corrosion protection, coat the wear surfaces with a dedicated lubricant like HYPTRON - Wax Grease SHIELD. Remember to also regularly grease the pins and bushings with HYPTRON grease with MoS2 additive.
Thrust washers are sacrificial components designed to wear out to protect the much more expensive metal parts of the suspension. Ignoring worn pads leads to play, which causes machine instability, accelerates tire wear, and can lead to damage to the propshaft.
Replace the shims if you notice:
Ignoring play leads to wear in the frame and axle bores.
The cost of re-boring worn-out holes is many times greater than the cost of a preventative replacement of pins and bushings. Protect your machine from expensive repairs – order a complete GX-AFTER set and restore the factory rigidity to the suspension.
You should use a feeler gauge to measure the axial play. Shims should be selected to minimize the gap after assembly, while still allowing for free, smooth movement of the axle. We offer shims ranging from 3.5mm to 6mm thick.
2. Do I have to replace the shims on both sides of the machine at the same time?Yes, it is absolutely necessary to ensure even support and to avoid stress in the suspension.
3. What material are these pads made of?They are made of a high-quality polymer with high abrasion resistance and a low coefficient of friction, often referred to colloquially as "Teflon," although technically it is most often polyamide or polyacetal.
