The hydraulic circuit of any construction machine is a broad and complex subject matter. That's why taking great care to maintain good condition of the whole hydraulic circuit in any machine is of utmost importance. The hydraulic pump is particularly prone to various malfunctions, due to intensity of its job - it's meant to work without interruptions from start-up of the machine, even if it remains still. The hydraulic pump can work with various levels of intensity, but its prolonged work in difficult conditions is greatly impacting the state it's in. There are two types of hydraulic pumps that are used in construction equipment: gear and variflow pumps. A simple design of a gear pump and its continuous dependability is positively impacting its performance. Its action is based upon two spinning gears that are connected together via a gear shaft. Variflow pumps also convert mechanical energy of the engine into hydraulic energy of the work fluid in the circuit. However, they generate much higher pressure amount when compared to gear pumps. In this kind of a pump, a specific amount of the fluid is pressed out of securely enclosed work chamber, while at the same time, its pressure is increased to the press-in level simultaneously. The pressure created by the hydraulic pump is powering up sub-assemblies that are responsible for moving the machine around.
