A high-quality 331/46320 track tensioner grease valve (nipple) by GX-AFTER. This is a specialized check valve that screws into the track adjuster cylinder, allowing high-pressure grease to be pumped in to tension the track. It fits a wide range of machines: from JCB mini excavators (801x series) to the heaviest Caterpillar dozers (D11) and tracked excavators.
GX-AFTER is the smart choice for your machine. We provide high-class replacements that combine excellent quality with an attractive price. Each part is carefully verified to ensure full compatibility and reliability you can depend on.

The list above is for reference. It is crucial to verify the appearance and thread of the old valve before purchasing.
This valve screws into the track tensioner cylinder. To service it, you need a standard grease gun with a suitable coupler and high-quality grease.
DANGER! HIGH PRESSURE! Never fully unscrew this valve while the track is under tension. The grease inside is under tremendous pressure, and forceful ejection of the valve can cause serious injury or death. Always loosen the track slowly and carefully, following the machine's manual.
Valve 331/46320 is used to adjust track tension. Pumping grease through this valve extends the tensioner piston, tightening the track. Loosening it slightly allows grease to escape, slacking the track (e.g., for service).

A regular grease nipple is for lubricating bearings and pins. This valve (331/46320) has a reinforced design and a special check valve to withstand the immense hydraulic pressure inside the track tensioner, which would burst a standard nipple.
If the cause of loosening is a leak through this valve (which is very common), then yes. Replacement is cheap and simple, so it's worth starting diagnostics here before replacing the entire cylinder seals.
