A precision-made, reinforced tooth in the ESCO® Super V® (V17) system with an aggressive TYL (Tiger) profile. This is a specialized "tiger" tooth, designed for work in extremely hard, compacted, and rocky ground conditions. Its sharp, pointed shape provides maximum penetration and breakout force, significantly easing work where standard (SYL) teeth are insufficient. Made of high-grade alloy steel, hardened to 48-52 HRC.

Always wear safety glasses and use a proper hammer and punch when installing or removing bucket teeth and pins. Metal fragments can fly off and cause serious eye injury.
The tooth is the main working part of the bucket that comes into direct contact with the ground. Its wear, especially the loss of the sharp point on the TYL profile, leads to a drastic drop in penetration force, increased resistance, and higher fuel consumption.

TYL (Tiger) is a penetration tooth, sharp and pointed, ideal for breaking up hard, rocky ground. SYL (Standard Long) is a universal tooth, with a more massive build, better suited for general earthmoving and loading, offering a longer wear life in abrasive conditions.
2. Will a V17 tooth fit a V19 adapter?No. ESCO® Super V® systems of different sizes (e.g., V17, V19, V23) are not compatible. A V17 adapter requires the exclusive use of V17-sized teeth and pins.
3. How do I properly install the V17PN pin?The pin in the Super V® system is installed vertically. After placing the tooth on the adapter, insert the pin from the top and drive it in with a hammer until it is flush with the tooth surface. The shape of the pin and socket provides a self-locking mechanism. To remove it, simply knock it out from the bottom.
