The brake master cylinder is the heart of the braking system. It converts the force from the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure that activates the calipers. If your brake pedal is "spongy" and sinks to the floor, the brakes are weak, you need to "pump" the pedal several times to get braking force, or you see brake fluid leaks, these are classic symptoms of a faulty master cylinder. A malfunctioning brake master cylinder is an extremely dangerous fault that disqualifies the machine from use.

The master cylinder is fully adapted to work with the original booster and braking system, ensuring a consistent repair.
The GX-AFTER brand is a proven and safe alternative that offers quality comparable to original parts at a much better price.
When replacing the master cylinder, always fill the system with new, clean brake fluid, such as HYPTRON. Old fluid loses its properties and contains water, which causes corrosion.
After installation, the brake system must be carefully bled, starting from the wheel furthest from the master cylinder. Leaving air in the system will result in a "spongy" brake pedal.
While replacing the master cylinder, inspect the condition of the brake lines, calipers, discs, and seals in the axles. It is the perfect time for a comprehensive service.
Tighten the brake line fittings with the appropriate force. Overtightening can damage the threads in the new master cylinder.
Answer: It is a primary suspect. Other causes include air in the system, a fluid leak in the lines or calipers, or worn seals in the axle brake calipers.
Question: Do I need to replace both master cylinders at once?Answer: Yes, this is absolutely recommended. Older JCB machines have two master cylinders (one for each circuit). Replacing only one leads to uneven braking force on the wheels, which is very dangerous.
Question: What brake fluid should I use?Answer: You should always use brake fluid with the specification recommended by the manufacturer, usually HP 15. We recommend high-quality brake fluids from the HYPTRON brand.
