A genuine, high-efficiency JCB Plexus hydraulic filter element, installed on the return line in the oil tank. Its function is to precisely clean the oil returning from the working system before it gets back to the pump. This is the most important line of defense, protecting the hydraulic pump and valves from contaminants generated during normal operation (metal filings, seal particles).
Genuine JCB product – a guarantee of the highest quality, perfect fit, and 100% compatibility with your machine.

The list above is for reference. We recommend verifying the part number in your machine's service manual before purchasing.
For full protection of the hydraulic system, replace the return filter regularly, according to the service interval. Always fill the system with new, clean HYPTRON hydraulic oil. This is the cheapest way to avoid a costly hydraulic pump failure.
The return filter is the most important protection for the heart of the machine – the hydraulic pump. A clogged or damaged filter opens the by-pass valve, allowing contaminated oil to flow directly into the tank, and from there straight to the pump. This leads to its seizure and a catastrophic, very expensive failure.
Replace the filter if you notice any of the following symptoms:
✓ Uncompromising Safety: Choose a Genuine JCB Part
There is no room for compromise when it comes to hydraulic filtration. By choosing a genuine JCB Plexus filter, you are 100% assured of receiving a product with efficiency and service life that meets the manufacturer's stringent standards. This guarantees maximum protection for the pump and valves, which cheap replacements cannot provide.
Are your hydraulics weak and noisy? Don't risk pump seizure!
The cost of a filter is negligible compared to a hydraulic pump overhaul. Order a genuine JCB filter today and provide the heart of your machine with the clean oil it should be running on!
If replacing the filter didn't help, it could indicate that the hydraulic pump is worn and no longer able to generate adequate pressure. Other causes include leaks in the system (internal or external) or a faulty relief valve.
2. I found metal shavings in my old filter. What does that mean? This is a very bad sign. A large amount of filings indicates that a metal component in the system (most often the hydraulic pump, slew motor, or a cylinder) is seizing up. Simply replacing the filter will not solve the problem - the source of the filings must be diagnosed and repaired as soon as possible.
3. How often should the hydraulic return filter be replaced? It should be replaced according to the service interval specified by the machine manufacturer, usually every 1000 operating hours or at least once a year, whichever comes first. If working in very harsh conditions, this interval should be shortened.
