The shuttle lever is the main control for the Powershift transmission. It is responsible for sending an electrical signal to the solenoids that engage forward or reverse drive. If your machine does not respond to a change of direction, engages with a delay, jerks when shifting, or blows a fuse when changing direction, these are classic symptoms of a worn switch. A faulty lever prevents smooth and safe operation, and in extreme cases, completely immobilizes the machine.

The accuracy and quality of materials guarantee long and trouble-free use without the need for frequent replacement.
The switch is fully adapted to work with the original JCB wiring and controllers, ensuring a consistent repair.
The GX-AFTER brand is a proven and safe alternative that offers quality comparable to original parts at a much better price.
Before starting any work on the electrical system, for your own safety, always disconnect the negative (-) terminal from the battery.
Before you replace the switch, check the dedicated fuses and relays for the transmission. Sometimes they are the cause of drive problems.
If the problem persists after replacing the switch, the next step should be to check the coils (solenoids) on the gearbox valve block.
When connecting, insert the plug gently until it clicks. Using force can damage the pins in the new switch.
Answer: It is the main suspect. If the machine doesn't respond to a change of direction but the engine is running, the fault usually lies with the switch, a relay, or the solenoids on the gearbox.
Question: Why does the fuse blow when I change direction?Answer: This is a classic symptom of an internal short circuit in the switch. Worn contacts can cause a signal to be sent for both forward and reverse simultaneously, leading to an immediate blown fuse.
Question: Is the installation difficult?Answer: No, the installation is relatively simple. It requires removing the steering column covers, undoing a few screws, and unplugging one electrical connector. It is a typical "plug & play" repair.
