Transmission repair is a complex operation requiring specialist knowledge and tools. The gearbox is a heavy component, and its removal and installation create a risk of crushing. Always follow the manufacturer's service manual.
During a transmission overhaul, always replace the complete set of bearings, seals, and clutch plates. Use only high-quality HYPTRON transmission oil and change filters to proven REDX brand replacements to ensure the long and trouble-free operation of the entire system.
A gear is the heart of the transmission. Its failure (e.g., a broken tooth) leads to an immediate loss of drive on that gear and can destroy other gearbox components with metal fragments.
A damaged gear means an immobilized machine.
The cost of replacing one gear is negligible compared to overhauling the entire gearbox if broken teeth destroy other components. Don't take the risk – order a proven GX-AFTER gear and restore full efficiency and reliability to your transmission.

This is one possibility. "Jumping" out of gear is most often caused by worn selector forks, a worn synchronizer, or worn dog teeth on the gear itself. A precise diagnosis requires dismantling the gearbox.
2. Can I replace just one damaged gear?It is not recommended. Gears mesh and wear together during operation. Installing a new gear against an old, partially worn one will cause noise and very rapid wear of both gears. You should always replace gears that work in pairs.
3. I found metal filings in my transmission oil. What should I do?The presence of metal filings in the oil is a sign of a serious internal failure, most often a worn bearing or a damaged tooth. You should stop work immediately and have the gearbox inspected to avoid complete destruction.
