A high-quality slide bush, made of a special brass alloy. It is a key component of the joint connecting the main backhoe boom to the kingpost. Its function is to provide smooth rotational movement for the pin and to bear enormous loads, minimizing friction and protecting more expensive components (the kingpost, the boom) from wear.
A CORESPEX brand product – premium quality replacements that guarantee long life and reliability, even when working in heavy-duty conditions.

For a comprehensive and durable repair, always replace kingpost bushings in a set with new pins and seals. Regular greasing of the joints with high-quality HYPTRON grease containing molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) drastically extends the life of the bushings.
Bushings are sacrificial components designed to wear out to protect much more expensive parts like the kingpost or the backhoe boom. Ignoring worn bushings leads to play, which in turn damages the pin bores (causing them to become oval), ultimately requiring a very expensive re-boring repair.
Replace the bushings if you notice:
✓ Restore Precision and Rigidity: Choose CORESPEX
Play in the arm means a loss of precision and faster wear of the entire machine. As a leader in the supply of pins and bushings, we guarantee a perfect fit and the highest quality material. CORESPEX bushings, made of brass with optimal sliding properties, will restore your machine's factory rigidity and precision, which translates into work efficiency.
Tired of a "wobbly" backhoe and clunking noises?
Don't wait for play to damage expensive structural components. Order a complete set of CORESPEX pins and bushings today and perform a professional joint rebuild!
Copper alloys (brass, bronze) are used in very high-load, low-speed joints. These materials have excellent sliding properties and are more resistant to seizure in the event of a temporary lack of lubrication than a steel bush, which is crucial in such an important component as the boom slew.
2. I have play on the pin, but the old bush looks okay. Do I have to replace it?Yes. Even if the bush is not cracked, the play indicates that its internal diameter has worn. Installing a new, tight pin in an old, worn bush will not eliminate the play and will lead to rapid wear of the pin. Both components should always be replaced at the same time.
3. What happens if I keep working with worn bushings?Prolonged operation with loose pins causes the bores in the boom or kingpost to wear out. The holes become oval, and their repair is very expensive and requires specialized machining (a mobile line boring machine). Replacing bushings in time is the cheapest way to avoid this failure.
